Privacy notice
Reading the atlas needs no account and sets no cookies. This is about the people who make an account to suggest corrections.
What we keep
- Your name and email address, and your password stored only as a one-way hash.
- When you signed up and last signed in.
- What you suggest, with what you said about how you know, and what the editors decided.
- With each suggestion, a one-way fingerprint of your internet address — enough to notice a pattern of abuse, not enough to tell who you are.
What it is used for
Signing you in, reviewing what you send, and emailing you about your account: confirming your address, resetting your password, and telling you what became of a suggestion. Nothing else — no newsletters, no advertising, nothing passed to anyone else. Editors see your name beside what you sent.
Cookies
Only while you are signed in: one cookie that keeps you signed in. The atlas's pages themselves set none.
Leaving
Delete your account at any time from your account page. That removes your name, your email and anything still waiting for review. Corrections already accepted stay in the atlas, with no name attached.
The atlas is run by Oneconnect Pvt Ltd, Maldives. Questions: info@dhuveli.com.
