Maafushi, plot by plot

Every plot on Maafushi and Mantaafushi from the Maafushi Council's 2025 plot chart: the house name written in it, the council's plot code, and its outline on the map. Find a house by its name, in Dhivehi or English letters, or a plot by its code.

Three islands

Maafushi is the inhabited island. Mantaafushi, across the bridge to the south, is reclaimed land laid out in new plots, and Vammaafushi lies off the north-east end. The council's chart covers all three.

Public buildings

The civic plots the chart marks: the council, the courts, the hospital, schools, mosques and utilities.

Every plot, by block

House names as the chart writes them, with a Latin spelling made letter by letter: it may not be the spelling a household uses. Block numbers are the council's. Choose a plot to see it on the map.

About this map

The plots, their codes and their house names are the Maafushi Council's, from its 2025 plot chart. The chart is a drawing with no coordinates; Dhuveli placed it on the map by fitting its streets and blocks to OpenStreetMap's streets and buildings, and checked the result against our drone survey of the island's north end, where plot lines fall on the walls they follow to within about a metre.

Where the chart draws a name as an outline rather than as text, the plot is on the map without its name. Where the chart leaves out the line between two plots, they were divided halfway between their two codes. Vammaafushi appears on the chart as an outline only. The Latin spellings are made from the Dhivehi letter by letter and will be corrected as people tell us how a house is actually spelt.
