Buoys in the Maldives
Lateral and special buoys marking channels and hazards.
A buoy is a floating mark moored to the seabed. Lateral buoys show the sides of a channel: the Maldives follows IALA Region A, where red is kept to port and green to starboard when coming in from sea. For reference, not for navigation.
